Santiago de Chile:
NB! Please, be informed that TIEMS has decided to postpone the planned workshop in Santiago de Chile in April this year, because of the strong earthquake that struck Chile February 27th. We will come back with a date and announcement later in 2010.
For those that would like to know more about the earthquake history and predictions for the area struck by the earthquake, TIEMS recommends the following scientific study published in "Physics of the Earth and Planetary Interiors" by ELSEVIER, www.elsevier.com/locate/pepi in 2009: "Interseismic strain accumulation measured by GPS in the seismic gap between Constitución and Concepción in Chile", by J.C. Ruegg, A. Rudloff, C. Vigny, R. Madariaga, J.B. de Chabalier, J. Campos, E. Kausel, S. Barrientos and D. Dimitrov.
